About the Role:

Maverick Power's in-house Quote Tool is the connective tissue between every RFQ and every closed deal—and it's already AI-ready. We need an API/Fullstack Developer to extend its API and business logic so AI can drive quoting end-to-end, from RFQ intake to a generated, validated quote and bill of materials. This role is the foundation of our Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) initiative: without a hardened, AI-consumable API, there's nothing for the rest of the team to build on. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our MCP/Integration Developers as their primary internal API consumer, directly enabling a 75% reduction in quote cycle time and 2–3x quote throughput.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and harden the Quote Tool's API surface to support AI-driven, end-to-end quoting.
  • Develop and maintain line-item generation, configuration logic, pricing hooks, and validation rules within the Quote Tool.
  • Build the endpoints that the MCP integration layer will consume to connect the Quote Tool to HubSpot and Epicor.
  • Partner directly with MCP/Integration Developers to ensure API design supports clean, reusable integration patterns.
  • Migrate functionality off the legacy quote tool as the new AI-augmented capability comes online.
  • Contribute to the reference-architecture standards established in Phase 1, ensuring the API work is reusable for future workstreams.
  • Participate in technical discovery to validate current API scope, data structures, and business logic.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in TypeScript and React.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building production-grade REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with business logic involving configuration, pricing, or validation rules (quoting, CPQ, or e-commerce platforms a plus).
  • Ability to work closely with integration and AI teams to design AI-consumable interfaces.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working in a small, senior, fast-moving team.
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) as part of the daily development workflow.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating internal APIs with AI agents, chatbots, or MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
  • Familiarity with Epicor ERP and/or HubSpot CRM data models.
  • Prior experience contributing to a reusable platform or reference architecture, not just a single application.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs (equipment, monitors, etc.).
  • Regular use of computer, keyboard, and monitor for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods. The above-noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the applicant a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
