About the Role:

Oversee a team responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate bridges hands-on quality control tasks with leadership and coordination duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, coordinate, and supervise a team of QC/QA staff (technicians, inspectors, analysts) in daily activities.
  • Supervise and participate in quality inspections, and verification of incoming materials, in-process outputs, and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Document results, maintain accurate quality records, and prepare reports for management.
  • Support corrective and preventive actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact with other departments (production, engineering) to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure time and labor tasks are accurate and up to date in Kronos.
  • Track attendance, safety, quality, productivity, and costs to foster teamwork and ongoing improvement through structured problem-solving processes (PDCA, A3, 8D, DMAIC, etc.) .
  • Support and develop the QC team lead in problem-solving activities and in responding to issues.
  • Create and update work instructions, and ensure they are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality control and quality assurance related technical environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of process control, systems thinking, and quality systems i.e. ISO standards.
  • Must be able to read Electrical Blueprints (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prior Wiring Experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
