About the Role:

Oversee day-to-day activities of QC/QA team members, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. This is a hands-on role acting as the first line of quality leadership on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign daily inspection priorities and balance team workload. Lead and coordinate QC inspectors during incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Review production travelers, and inspection checklists for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify compliance with drawings, BOM's, wiring schematics, and torque specs.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical standards and customer requirements (UL, NEC, ISO), including supporting audits, customer inspections, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support root cause and corrective actions to improve processes.
  • Ensure everyone on the team works safely and performs their duties per the work instructions to meet on-time delivery.
  • Prepare the work area so the team can have a 'hot start'.
  • Know how to perform all team jobs to ensure on-time delivery and be able to train.
  • Perform safety, quality, and productivity audits as required; track and update required documents and visual boards.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with quality systems, controlled documentation, and traceability.
  • Clear communication, practical problem solving, and working on the shop floor.
  • Must be able to read Electrical Blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrical manufacturing, power distribution, or industrial quipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, wiring standards and inspection methods.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Wiring Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
